My intention for this painting was to take a black
and white photo, which was in bad condition, and reproduce it on canvas
with the use of colors. I also wanted to show the European influences
on Native American Indians. I found this to be a very challenging task.
The photo was taken in 1937 and was in very rough shape.
This was a good learning experience and a real challenge for me. The
